Updates at the TOR User Forum

In addition to this, Jordan ran through updates to the system that will come over the next few years. For example, expanded membership functionality and Verifone integration. The TOR System users attending the User Forum then had a chance to say how the company could improve the technology and what they wanted to see next.

“We use a multi-tiered approached to developing our product road map. The input from customers is a key factor in our decisions,” said Jordan. “Having the opportunity to discuss as a collective group at the user forum is vital to steering the direction of the product and our continued success within the market place.”

BeWILDerwood

As well as updates from TOR, attendees at the User Forum also heard from guest speakers. This included Hannah Monteverde, Top Banana (her real job title) at BeWILDerwood’s new park opening in Cheshire Summer 2020. The park has story-driven attractions including treehouses, boat rides and slides, as well as zip lines and marsh walks. It welcomes 150,000-170,000 guests a year. “If everyone is leaving BeWILDerwood with grubby knees we have done a good job,” said Monteverde.

The parks are based on a series of books by founder Tom Blofeld. These sell 100,000 copies, or “1 in 7 people in Norfolk” according to Monteverde. BeWILDerwood has implemented TOR Systems technology into its existing park and will also be using the system in the upcoming second park in Cheshire.

Other guest speakers at the User Forum included Peter Hunnybun, Corporate Sales Manager, UK Sales at Verifone, and Blooloop’s Business Development Manager Ella Baskerville.
