Leading expert in media-based attractions, Simworx, has announced the opening of three key attractions at Dubai’s immersive entertainment centre, Hub Zero.
The UK company has supplied a Robocoaster, an Immersive Tunnel and a 50-seat, 4D cinema to the ‘gamers’ paradise’ located in the City Walk area.
The cinema experience, based on Japanese video game Asura’s Wrath, draws viewers into the adventure via a large curved screen and Christie projectors. 1DOF seats and a host of effects, including leg ticklers, air blasts, water sprays and wind, bring the onscreen action to life.
Simworx’ 30-seat Immersive Tunnel (below) puts guests in the heart of the Final Fantasy video game series by Square Enix. Riders sit in a futuristic-themed vehicle surrounded by 3D projections that provide a truly immersive experience.
The third Simworx attraction is a four-seat RoboCoaster experience based on Sony’s Dragon Age video game. Once guests have boarded the ride at the castle-themed loading station, the vehicle tilts forward, suspending riders directly in front of a huge, quarter dome screen where they come face to face with the action.
Simworx is currently involved in supplying attractions for multiple venues in Dubai, including several at the much-anticipated Dubai Parks and Resorts destination which is slated to open on October 31st.
The company has also installed a 4D cinema at Mattel Play! Town entertainment centre, also in City Walk, based on the much-loved IP, Thomas and Friends, featuring a host of specially-themed features including blue seats complete with Thomas badges.
Simworx supplies media based dynamic simulation attractions to venues across the world in the entertainment, education and corporate sectors. Its portfolio of services includes turnkey solutions, custom attractions, product development, manufacturing and service support, to film content and complete themed attractions.
