Universal Studios Hollywood and Orlando have revealed the “Universal Monsters” maze with an original score from SLASH – completing their maze line-up at this year’s Horror Nights.
The brand new “Halloween Horror Nights” maze is based on the original “Universal Monsters”. However there is a terrifying contemporary twist on these classic horror icons.
The new maze will feature an original score that has been produced and composed by celebrated SLASH. SLASH is a GRAMMY® Award-winning musician, long hailed as one of the 10 best electric guitar-players of all time.
The maze pays homage to the creatures from Universal Pictures’ past. These include: Dracula, The Phantom of the Opera, Frankenstein’s Monster and The Wolf Man. More than a dozen of these iconic classic Monsters will appear in the maze.
SLASH said: “As a fan of horror movies and of ‘Halloween Horror Nights,’ I jumped at the chance to once again collaborate with Universal Studios Hollywood to produce what might be interpreted as a soundtrack for the maz. Similar to the way music affects a film, I wanted to compose a score for the legions of infamous characters featured in the maze to elicit a greater sense of terror for the guests. In the end, the goal is to ultimately make the guests feel as if they are playing an integral role in a classic Monster movie.”

For over 25 years, guests from around the world have visited Halloween Horror Nights in Hollywood and Orlando. There, they can become the stars of their own horror film. Guests can visit movie-quality mazes based on iconic horror TV shows, films and original stories. The streets also become highly-themed scare zones.
Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights have become a firm fixture for autumn. The park transforms into immaculately-themed scare zones with terrifyingly realistic ‘scare-actors’ emerging from dark corners.
