BoldMove Nation, the new vendor-independent service for the entertainment market, will be attending the Saudi Entertainment & Amusement Expo in Riyadh from 16 – 18 May 2022, where the team will be showcasing a range of interactive rides for the leisure and retail markets, including Smash & Reload.

Smash & Reload

“What visitors want is a memorable and fun experience in a themed environment that makes them forget everyday hassles for a little while, fully enjoying their moments with friends and family,” says Benoit Cornet, CEO of BoldMove Nation.

“This is exactly what our Smash & Reload ride offers. Visitors push the button to load their devices and can then aim galore to collect points and achieve their brave mission as part of the adventure across five scenes. This double-action approach with intuitive gameplay elevates players to the same level of interactivity, making it accessible for young and old.

“Production has started of the first dark ride as well as development of the media content, we are all excited to see this creative concept with support of our partners now become reality.”

Visitors to BoldMove’s booth will be able to speak to Cornet and the BoldMove team about the specific needs of their park or leisure venue, and how they can fit Smash & Reload to their audience. In addition to the company’s fun TooMush IP, there will also be the options of a Marsu-themed version and other IPs based on Belgian comic strip characters.

WaterSlider VR

Alongside Smash & Reload, the team at SEA 2022 will also be highlighting BoldMove’s new WaterSlider VR attraction, Deep Sea Party, which is designed to extend the entertainment offer at water parks, theme parks or holiday parks. Visitors simply don VR goggles onboard their life raft to enter an underwater world.

This motion & media-based attraction brings together physical thrills and VR. The rafts can seat four people and can accommodate a wheelchair. The motion driven raft is integrated into a sea container, housing all the necessary cabling and technical equipment, alongside a complete light and sound system. WaterSlider VR is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use and is compliant with all safety requirements.

AR Hybrid Quest

Also on display at SEA 2022 will be AR Hybrid Quest, an accessible mixed-reality attraction that allows guests to explore a park or other leisure venue through their own smartphone or tablet. As they make their way through a number of themed physical checkpoints, they can enjoy content such as AR games and quizzes, uploading their assignments as they go in order to fulfil the mission.

Virtual AR portals welcome them into 360° virtual worlds that fit the AR Quest theme, which can be adjusted to each audience. The interactive quest also offers opportunities for increased engagement with promotional and loyalty programs, as well as optimizing visitor flows.

The content can be upgraded or adjusted for seasonal events and AR Hybrid Quest is ideal for a range of venues including theme & water parks, zoos, holiday resorts, shopping malls, museums and more.

BoldMove’s attractions can be integrated into different themed areas or made a part of an indoor centre such as Houba World, a new concept created around the Marsupilami IP. The company can work with many different IPs, stories and themes, combining these with the most suitable technologies and media content.

Last year, BoldMove Nation announced Houba City, an Urban Experience Centre (UEC) designed to increase footfall and retention for themed environments.
