Play&GO allows operators to provide a range of customisable experiences

Connect&GO, a leader in RFID solutions for the leisure, sports and attractions industry, has announced the launch of Play&GO, a unique experiential platform that enables attractions to create memorable experiences, in order to increase both engagement and revenue. The platform uses a smart wristband, which lets guests play games and enjoy interactive experiences, before, during and after their visit.

Play&GO allows operators to provide a range of customisable experiences that let visitors explore, learn and play. Guests simply create a profile and can then complete various activities, from a zoo-based scavenger hunt to an interactive quiz for the whole family.

Interactive games and more

The platform can also transform standard activities into a real video game. For example, with two scanners and a screen, a climbing wall can be gamified as visitors compete to top the interactive leaderboard.

Each user will have a personalised portal linked to their wristband, which shows various results, points, badges and more.

Play&GO can also be used as a memory generation tool, as it can be integrated with a range of automated video and photo capture solutions.

More than ever, guests are looking to connect and interact in a unique way,” says Dominic Gagnon, president of Connect&GO. The challenge is to create an environment where these connections are seamless and frictionless to the visitor before, during and after their experience. This is what Play&GO offers.”

Generating revenue

As well as improving the guest experience and generating return visits, Connect&GO’s new platform can also increase revenue. These experiences can be included in the ticket price or sold as a premium extra. Guests can also purchase personalised videos and photos after their visit, thanks to the platform’s automated memory generation functions.

“After the pandemic, our customers told us that it would be difficult for them to invest large sums in the development of new physical attractions,” says a statement from the company. “With Play&GO, it is possible to easily boost your offer of low-cost activities and develop new possibilities for customers.

Play&GO will be arriving this summer in several attractions, such as the Granby Zoo, Super Aqua Club and Norway’s Kongeparken Park.

Connect&GO will also be hosting a webinar on 24 March 2021, with insights into enhancing the guest experience and increasing revenue over the course of this year. Speakers include Sharon Parker, Director of Marketing and Sales at Six Flags Texas, Evan Barnett, President at Typhoon Texas Waterpark and Ted Molter, Former Chief Marketing Officer at San Diego Zoo. Last year, the company announced that it had secured financing of $4M to support its position as a technology leader in the leisure and attractions industries.
