Adventure attractions specialist, Ropes Courses, Inc. (RCI) has teamed up with New Zealand’s Clip ‘n Climb® to provide manufacturing and distribution services.
RCI will manufacture Clip ‘n Climb’s products in Michigan and act as distributor to the North American and South American markets.
RCI Production Manager, Brad Ade (above left), visited Clip ‘n Climb in New Zealand to make sure the transition was as smooth as possible.
“This trip allowed me to witness firsthand how their company operates and gain additional insight on how RCI can be as efficient as possible as we integrate new product production and distribution into our operations,” commented Ade.
Clip ‘n Climb® was founded by John Targett (above right) and Tim Wethey in Christchurch in 2006. The pair were keen to share their love of climbing with a wider public by making the activity accessible to children and adults who had limited or no climbing experience. The concept proved an immediate success and the company is now recognised as a leader in the fun-climbing sector.
Ropes Courses and Clip ‘n Climb are a natural fit
RCI was also established by an enthusiast, Jim Liggett, who saw a market for fresh, fun, and innovative attractions that were low staff and high throughput. Today, the company employs more than 80 people as designers, engineers, and manufacturers that create, develop, and install attractions worldwide.
“We wanted to expand our portfolio to help our customers offer a range of activities that keeps families excited about coming to their facilities,” reported Marissa Ticknor, RCI Sales Manager. “Clip ‘n Climb® is a natural fit with our product assortment and we are all eager to be collaborating with such a highly-regarded company.”
Both Clip ‘n Climb® climbing challenges and Sky Trail® ropes courses are suitable for all ages and abilities. They use similar safety equipment, and offer multiple elements that encourage participants to challenge themselves.
