Virtuix brings Omni Arena to Full Throttle venues in Cincinnati

New Virtuix Omni Arena installation at Full Throttle in Cincinnati

Virtuix, developer of the Omni virtual reality treadmill and Omni Arena, has delivered the VR esports attraction to two Full Throttle go-karting venues in Cincinnati.

Virtuix is pleased to announce that Full Throttle, an operator of two popular go-karting venues in Cincinnati, Ohio, has installed the Omni Arena virtual reality esports attraction in both of its facilities. This is the first installation of the innovative attraction in the Cincinnati area.

“Omni Arena is the perfect fit for our go-karting audience,” says Aaron Banfield, CEO of Full Throttle. “With its built-in esports contests and prize pool, the attraction is competitive, social, and physical, much like go-karting. Our guests love it.”

A complete package

Omni Arena is a full-body virtual reality attraction, which allows up to four players to compete using motion platforms to walk and run around inside the action. They can win tops spots on the leaderboard and can even battle for a chance to win a share of the $100,000 esports prize pool, which is sponsored by HP and Virtuix.

“We chose Omni Arena because it offers the most complete package of any VR system,” says Kenton Noran, co-owner of Full Throttle. “The integrated esports leaderboards result in high repeat play, which is what matters most in the long run.”

The Omni Arena is already being enjoyed by guests at other go-karting venues and FECs, for example, Andretti Indoor Karting & Games in Orlando, and Pinballz in Austin.

“Omni Arena has been highly successful with go-karting venues,” says Jan Goetgeluk, founder and CEO of Virtuix. “We’re excited to work with the Full Throttle team and brand, and we believe Omni Arena’s competitive nature will be a big hit with their audience.”

Virtuix recently shared data from over a million plays of the Omni Arena, showing that esports stimulate repeat play at FECs, as well as attracting a new audience into venues.
