Max-Matching Entertainments, a leading developer, investor, and operator of IP-themed location-based entertainment in China, and the Longhua District Key Area Construction Center have announced the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement to collaboratively develop an international IP-themed entertainment complex in Longhua District, Shenzhen.
The announcement was made at IAAPA Expo Asia in Shanghai, emphasising the transformative impact of this partnership on China’s themed entertainment and cultural tourism industries.
The upcoming project will be situated in Dalang Fashion Town, a vibrant district in Longhua. It will feature themed FECs, hotels, F&B outlets, retail spaces, and shows, including new themed attractions debuting in China for the first time. Following the partnership with Max-Matching Entertainments last year, RWS Global will also bring IP-themed shows and musicals to the development.
An impactful project
This marks the third significant international IP-themed attraction project by Max-Matching Entertainments in China.
Longhua District, a key hub in Shenzhen, offers substantial geographical advantages, while Dalang Fashion Town is celebrated for its rich cultural heritage. This project represents a significant endeavour by Longhua to integrate the fashion and cultural tourism industries, aiming to develop a culturally distinctive cluster within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.
The goal is to attract diverse audiences, including young people and families, from a population exceeding 87 million.
