Leaders in show control, audio and video equipment for the themed entertainment industry, Alcorn McBride, has announced the promotion of Scott Harkless to Chief Innovation Officer.
In his new role, Harkless liases between clients and engineers to develop the most appropriate and creatively innovative technology solutions.

Harkless has been at the heart of the themed entertainment industry for over 16 years. He is experienced in product development, system commissioning, client training, marketing and sales. Skilled in electronic design and creative problem solving, he has been instrumental in creating the products used in many of the world’s most popular attractions.
“Scott’s new title reflects his passion for working with customers to develop what they’ll need in the future, as well as ensure that current products have the features they require,” explains company founder, Steve Alcorn.
Conceiving new products that meet clients’ needs
Scott Harkless joined Alcorn McBride as an engineer 15 years ago. Prior to that, he spent three years as an Electronic Technician and Engineering Associate with COSI (Centre of Science & Industry) and COSI Studio in Columbus.
“Scott will continue to have a lot of responsibility for coordinating sales and support staff. But, he’ll be spending more time on his true love of conceiving new products that conform to customers’ needs,” adds Alcorn.
