Rubber Cheese, an attractions-focused digital agency, launched the 2023 Annual Visitor Attraction Website Report Survey last month. This is designed to help attractions improve their digital infrastructure and enhance the visitor experience, moving from clicks to conversions. The survey is open until 12 July 2023 and all marketing professionals, managers, and digital professionals in the visitor attraction sector are encouraged to participate.

The firm conducted the inaugural Visitor Attraction Website Survey last year and then shared the results at a special launch event at the London Transport Museum, sponsored by Convious, a leading eCommerce platform for the leisure industry. This year’s report launched on 10 May at the Museums + Heritage Show 2023, in partnership with Convious.

The purpose of the now-annual survey is to establish benchmarks related specifically to websites in the visitor attraction sector. The results will provide valuable insights into user experience, booking journeys, mobile experience, and other key areas in the online presence of an attraction.

Results will help shape the industry’s development

This year’s survey will examine whether visitor attraction businesses have been able to enhance their digital infrastructure and keep pace with their physical presence. This follows the success of last year’s report, which revealed eye-opening results about metrics such as add-to-basket rate, basket abandonment rate, bounce rate, conversion rate, load times, and more.

Businesses can contribute their knowledge and best practices in order to aid the industry’s future development by taking part in this year’s survey. The study will give participants exclusive access to crucial information that will aid them in making better decisions and moving their businesses ahead. It will contain a thorough examination of the most recent benchmarks and trends as well as workable solutions to the issues identified.

“We are thrilled to launch the 2023 Annual Visitor Attraction Website Report Survey and continue our work in helping businesses in the visitor attraction sector enhance their online presence,” says Kelly Molson, founder of Rubber Cheese. “Last year’s report was a huge success and we are excited to see what insights this year’s survey will reveal. By participating in the survey, businesses can gain valuable knowledge and shape the future of the industry.”

Last year, Rubber Cheese developed a new website for Holkham, a leading heritage and nature reserve site in Norfolk, UK.
