Attractions.io, a leading creator of mobile visitor apps, has announced that it has partnered with Tulley’s Shocktober Fest, Europe’s biggest scare park, to create a new mobile app. Tulley’s Farm in West Sussex, UK, is bringing back the fan-favourite Halloween event for its 26th season, with a wide range of thrilling scares and attractions.
Now, as they journey around the haunted attraction, visitors will be able to arm themselves with Tulley’s new mobile app which includes GPS wayfinding and a fiendish hand-illustrated map.
With just a tap on their phone, guests can get directions to the park’s haunts, rides and shows, and can also see both standard or accessible routes, so that they can arrive at the experience’s entrance without the fear of wandering off the beaten track at this spooky night-time venue.
The new mobile app also allows them to explore the park, monitor queue times and store tickets in their mobile wallet.
An authentic, branded experience
The Shocktober Fest team wanted to offer an authentic, branded experience for their guests, whether they are exploring the scare park via the app, website or in-person. Thanks to Connect, Attractions.io’s app management console, the marketing team had the ability to easily customise their app with Shocktober Fest’s branding. This includes:
- A creepy hand-illustrated map
- Customised iconography
- Attention-grabbing splash screens
- Full branding of search bars, info pages, app colours, fonts and spacing.
“We are really excited to see the Tulleys Shocktober Fest app live in the app stores! The app will make it easier for guests to scan tickets, view queue times, navigate the site and make the most of all ten of our Halloween haunts,” says Chris Bailey, operations manager at Tulleys Shocktober Fest.
“Attractions.io has been great to work with, helping us to translate our theme to the design of the app for an authentic, branded experience.”
Danielle Bastiaens, head of delivery at Attractions.io, adds:
“Building anticipation and suspense ahead of guests’ visits is hugely important for the team at Tulleys and the new app is likely to be the first touchpoint guests’ encounter after buying their tickets. We’ve worked closely with Tulleys to customise their guest interface and ensure it reflects the spookiness of their attraction – which is certainly not for the faint-hearted!”
Recently, Attractions.io also announced a new integration with the Visisoft ticketing solution, which will help attractions to create accessible and more sustainable visitor experiences.
