California’s City of Oceanside is inviting proposals for the update of its 10-year Master Plan of Parks and Recreation.
Expertise is being sought from park planners, landscape architects, facility architects, public survey specialists and trail specialists.
The brief includes recommendations for the modernisation and re-design of existing elements within the neighbourhood park system.
It also calls for an analysis of amenities with regard to how well they are currently serving the demands and changing demographics of the community.
Recreational trends of the future also need to be taken into account.
Oceanside encompasses 35 parks, 5 skate parks, 2 pools, 2 senior centres, 5 recreation centres and 2 gymnasiums occupying around 594 acres of usable park space.
The Master Plan Update is intended to help the City Council prioritise next steps and provide a framework for implementation going forward.
- Interested parties should submit questions by 4pm, June 30th
- The City undertakes to respond to these by July 7th
- Responses Due: July 28, 2017 by 4:00 pm
