Edutainment brand, KidzMondo, is launching a new mini city in Melbourne, Australia, that aims to provide “cognitive and personal growth” for its young visitors.
The $30 million attraction will be located in Melbourne’s Eastern suburbs and will be for children between the ages of 2 and 14.
There, they can chose from 80 different professions to manage the miniature city.
Construction on the park will begin later this year. The indoor attraction is planned for construction in a 7000sqm centre at Box Hill Institute’s Lilydale campus. It is set to open in 2020.
It is hoped to draw over 250,000 students visiting both as individuals and on school trips. Admission will cost around $39.
KidzMondo Australia chief Norman Gray told The Herald Sun: “We need to provide our children with an environment where they can experiment.”

According to Financial Review, the firm is also planning destinations in Brisbane, Perth and Sydney. They will join existing parks in Beirut, Turkey, UAE and Qatar. Boutique adviser Sanston Securities is understood to be working with Ernst & Young on raising funds for the Australian arm of KidzMondo.
The Qatar attraction is sited in the Mall of Qatar, the attraction has a footprint of around 8000 square metres. It has over 80 shops and buildings allowing over 80 role-playing activities for children.
Some of the key buildings at the indoor theme park are a Bank and a Fire Station. In addition, there is also a Petrol Station and a Police Station.
