Zamperla, a leading ride manufacturer, has announced that its President and CEO, Alberto Zamperla, took part in the 77th Venice International Film Festival.
Zamperla is proud to announce that Alberto Zamperla presented a speech and a video at the Venice International Film Festival, at the Hotel Excelsior, Venice Lido. This celebrated the strong and historic connection between the Zamperla family and the world of cinema.
The family business was one of the first cinematographers in Italy, projecting images in town and city sqaures for residents of across the country to enjoy.
A history of entertainment
The Zamperla family has generations of experience in the entertainment world, from travelling circuses and amusement rides to the theatre and cinema. In fact, Nazzareno Zamperla was the first Italian stuntman. At the same time, a young Antonio Zamperla, founder of the Group, invented one of the first travelling rides for children.
In 2010, the company worked on the reconstruction of the iconic Luna Park amusement park on Coney Island. Many classic films have been shot here, and it is a favourite location of some of the most well-known film directors, such as Spike Lee and Woody Allen. It has even been the backdrop many of popular music videos, for instance by Beyoncé and Jon Bon Jovi.
The Zamperla Group, in just a hundred days, was able to recreate the charm of the first Luna Park. The company’s connection with cinema is now stronger than ever.
The company also recently launched its new Wash-Through Ride System, designed to help attractions keep guests safe as they reopen following the COVID-19 pandemic. This allows operators to clean and disinfect roller coaster vehicles effectively, in order to prevent the spread of the virus. It is a tunnel or suspended structure that arches above the vehicle and uses a sanitising fog to clean it.
