SPREE Interactive, a provider of active free-roam VR experiences, has announced a new exclusive licensing partnership with VR Nerds. This will allow for the distribution of the world’s first all-in-one, mobile free-roam, immersive VR esports experience for Tower Tag.
Tower Tag is the largest VR esports game in the world, with more than 1 million plays to date. This immersive game generates competitive tournaments between players across the globe. Exclusive to the SPREE Arena, the game lets up to eight people play against each other in a player versus player match, or as a team working to beat AI-enabled bots.

Earlier this year, the company also announced a strategic partnership with Pico Interactive, a global tech company that develops VR and enterprise solutions. Following a challenging year, SPREE Interactive has pivoted its offerings as well as working on product development, leading to a series of confirmed installations in North America, Europe and the Middle East over the course of 2021.

These new projects will make use of Pico’s new untethered Neo 2 VR headsets alongside the supporting software. This is an upgrade from the technology that the company has using previously, Pico’s G2 headset. The Neo 2 VE headset boasts improved graphics as well as more sanitary materials, which is key in the wake of the pandemic.
SPREE Interactive enables innovative location-based VR attractions across the globe. These unique solutions can be tailored to a variety of different spaces and venues, regardless of their size.
The company’s solutions allow up to 20 visitors to play at a time, leading to maximum player throughput and a fast ROI. The turnkey VR solutions are quick-to-install and simple-to-manage, requiring little equipment and few attendants for lower costs.
Last year, SPREE Interactive announced that it had formed an exclusive partnership with Exergame Europe in the UK.
