RocketRez, the all-in-one POS for tours and attractions, has deepened its integration with Twilio, adding a best-in-class partner to host and deploy custom telecommunications modules. The flexibility to make applications built for the phone quickly will allow RocketRez to solve for a large amount of customer use cases.
Twilio is a leader in programmatic SMS technology, and thanks to this integration, RocketRez clients can allow customers to receive a scannable ticket barcode directly to their phone. SMS ticketing has the power to improve the guest experience as well as helping operators stick to social distancing guidelines and keep contact to a minimum.
Frictionless ticketing
Business-to-consumer text message communications have been proven to be effective. In fact, SMS open rates beat email by almost 5x. Plus, response rates to SMS marketing are 7.5x higher than email, and 64% of consumers believe that companies who text value their time and are progressive, and would recommend such a company to others.
SMS messaging is also good for reaching customers on the go – a bonus for live events. Being able to access the ticket barcode quickly and easily, compared to searching through emails and opening PDF attachments, leads to an improved guest experience.
Customers simply include their phone number when purchasing tickets, and will receive an SMS straight away, with a link to the RocketLink page where their scannable tickets are waiting. If a customer already has an account, checkout is easy, with pre-populated fields.
Then, tickets are scanned easily and at a good social distance, directly from their phone.
“COVID-19 accelerated a rapid shift to digital within our industry and really opened Tour and Attraction operators’ eyes to the possibilities available to them when they build for mobile,” says Joe Robinson, RocketRez Chief Growth Officer. “Once the lines of communication are open between business and consumer through text, you have many new and creative ways to be a part of your customer journey.”
“We see SMS ticketing as a meaningful step forward towards our ultimate goals in mobile technology.”
RocketRez also recently worked with Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi to bring in contactless technology ahead of the annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
