Raven Sun Creative, the transformational experience firm, has announced that its principal and chief creative officer, Louis Alfieri, will be supporting themed entertainment students at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Savannah, Georgia, US.
Alfieri will present three sessions in person at SCAD, as well as mentoring on-site from Wednesday 6 April to Saturday 9 April. He will also be mentoring students in a virtual capacity throughout April and May.
Insights into a career in themed entertainment
SCAD provides a variety of entertainment and creatively-driven courses, including creative writing, fashion, architecture, creative writing, directing, fashion, themed entertainment, and many others.
Alfieri will be taking part in classes for SCAD’s Themed Entertainment MFA thesis course, with professor Jon Plsek, and Professor Bill Gorgensen’s Collaborative Design Studio. He will also contribute to a SCAD Alumni Workshop.
During these sessions, students will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the many different career journeys available in the location-based entertainment industry, as well as personal branding and experiential entertainment beyond Disney and Universal. Other topics covered will include trends in experiential entertainment, preparing for the future, and lessons from working internationally in the East and West.
Alfieri also recently moderated a panel at South by Southwest 2022 (SXSW), entitled: Metaverse: How Can We Keep the Human Experience at the Core of This World, which explored the ever-evolving technology of virtual and augmented reality in the entertainment industry. He often speaks at leading global industry events, including MAPIC, the GSCA Conference, and many more. Last month, he took part in the Casino Esports Conference and attended a new event, Creative Experiences Santa Fe 2022.
