Vennersys introduces modern operations to Dalkeith Country Park

News
Vennersys Dalkeith Country Park

The UK attraction now benefits from enhanced data and frictionless guest purchases

Vennersys, the integrated ticketing, retail and visitor management company, has upgraded systems for a natural heritage venue in Scotland.

Found just outside Edinburgh, Scotland, Dalkeith Country Park is nestled within 1,000 acres of historic woodlands and buildings.

Vennersys was faced with the challenge of uniting the park under one system. As Dalkeith covers and range of areas including events, hospitality and retail, it had traditionally worked with various software solutions that specialised in individual areas.

The venue was looking for an updated solution that would be cost-effective and control everything from one place. This would involve linking its ticketing function to its CRM database, with the most critical feature being events management.

Technology rollout

Officially partnering with Vennersys in February 2021, Dalkeith started using the system just a month later. Initially starting in Fort Douglas with the firm’s ticketing software, it quickly rolled out other features including its POS solution, events management and CRM elements. The company has since gone on to add Vennersys’ Venpos Cloud to three other Buccleuch Estates sites.

Dalkeith Country Park operations manager Stephen Begg says the adaptable system caters to the attraction’s individual needs: “Using a variety of their features is really beneficial in terms of being the most cost and time-effective. Vennersys offered a lot more than their competitors and we have seen great results since using it.”

Streamlining transactions

Dalkeith is now a cashless attraction, and tickets are available to purchase from QR codes scattered through the car park and entrance area. This takes visitors to the Country Park’s website to purchase tickets through Vennersys’ software.

Going cashless has allowed Dalkeith to capture applicable data from customers which is stored in its powerful CRM database for marketing and research purposes.

Begg adds: “Regardless of the size of our events the software has been able to withstand and support our busy periods, for instance over Christmas we have several events running at the same time and the various features have supported this.

“Having Joe as our Account Manager to support us and inform us of new updates and upgrades that will be coming is really beneficial and it is good to know they are continuously looking to update their systems.”

Venues interested in finding out more can contact Vennersys on the firm’s website.

Last month, Vennersys announced a new partnership with Dojo that will provide enhanced transactions for clients.
