ADG WildWater Wave Pool

A new pool and slides form part of the extended water park alongside additional events

Aquatic Development Group (ADG), a leading water park and recreational design, construction, and manufacturing firm, has completed work on a new venue in Alabama, US.

WildWater Water Park celebrated its grand opening on 17 June 2022, reporting an exciting response from stakeholders and public constituents. The expansion was designed and constructed by ADG, seeing the addition of a 22,000 square-foot wave pool, over fourteen water slides and a bespoke water play area for toddlers.

Guests will be able to enjoy a range of food and beverage options alongside ample areas of deck space surrounding the pools. An array of lounge chairs are provided as well as fifteen rentable cabanas and party pavilions for large groups. A 45-foot LED wall acts as a key focal point for events and celebrations.

A new city hotspot

Construction on Wild Water began last autumn, with ADG and WildWater overcoming shortage and supply delays largely due to the pandemic. Local townspeople were treated to a soft opening on Memorial Day weekend.

“We are thrilled for WildWater and its expansion to come to life this summer,” says local mayor Woody Jacobs. “We are excited to offer this water park and its amenities to our community here in Cullman and solidify our city as a summer fun destination for years to come.”

WildWater plans to use the new-look facility for savings nights and events including Twilight Tuesdays, where visitors can enjoy exclusive access to the newly expanded area week until 7 pm, and Splash-In Movie nights which take place in the wave pool on select evenings.

Cullman Parks, recreation and sports tourism executive director Nathan Anderson adds: “The development of WildWater is a key part of the larger Sports and Events District, centrally located in the heart of Cullman. WildWater will draw thousands of people to Cullman and will also provide a great outlet for local residents to enjoy family fun without having to leave the area.”

ADG has also brought a surfing experience to Australia as part of a major expansion for Prairiewood Leisure Centre.
