Martin & Vleminckx to present thrilling designs at DEAL 2023

News
M&V SkyBlazer

Martin & Vleminckx, a leader in the design, manufacture, fabrication, and installation of thrilling attractions, is preparing for DEAL 2023, where the company will showcase its latest product portfolio to the Middle East market in Dubai.

The SkyBlazer, a new attraction that is an evolution of the well-known Skycoaster, is one of the attractions that will be featured at the trade expo.

The SkyBlazer’s swinging gondola will simulate skydiving for passengers, incorporating a disc-shaped platform that can hold six to eighteen persons at a time. Once passengers have been safely buckled into a roller coaster-style restraint, they ascend in an arc path to a height of 200 feet.

The disc then turns, giving many thrills as the vehicle starts to tumble and swing. The ride’s bespoke light option offers riders and spectators what the Martin & Vleminckx is describing as a “whimsical nighttime ride experience”.

A landmark opportunity

V&M Skyspire

The Skyspire’s distinctive architectural work also unlocks potential media, advertising, and sponsorship opportunities for operators. While ascending, passengers will take in unique 360-degree panoramic views from climate-controlled gondolas.

There is also the opportunity to convert Skyspire into a multi-revenue attraction, by using the top platform as a panoramic viewing site and/or a separate venue for food and drink. Bespoke ways to ascend and descend are also available.

The Skyspire has a smaller footprint than a big wheel and provides a 360-degree experience that is distinctive, taller and higher volume.

Martin & Vleminckx president Nathan Jones says: “We are excited about what we have planned – our new product portfolio of thrill rides is a perfect fit for the destinations being planned for the Middle East.”

More information can be found at DEAL 2023 in Booth #2B-186 from 14-16 March 2023. Registration is available online.

Martin & Vleminckx recently reflected on a successful partnership with La Ronde, a Six Flags amusement park based in Montreal, Canada, where it has installed a range of major attractions.
