Move will advance interoperability in the metaverse

Worldbuildr Inc., the creator of an innovative 3D design platform, has announced a new partnership with ReadyPlayer.Me, a leading provider of customisable avatars, in order to advance interoperability in digital twin applications and the metaverse.

The Worldbuildr platform makes it simple for users to create, experience, and design virtual settings. Attraction designers have long used game engines like Unity and Unreal for previsualisation. However, this takes some coding knowledge. Thanks to Worldbuildr, without specialised skills or expensive software, users can easily design complex 3D worlds using the platform’s user-friendly interface. The goal of Worldbuildr is to democratise and make 3D experience design available to everyone.

On the other hand, ReadyPlayer.Me provides a customisable avatar solution that can be quickly added to any virtual environment. Users of the platform can design unique avatars that can be used on a number of social media sites, video games, and other virtual experiences.

A logical partnership

The relationship between Worldbuildr and ReadyPlayer.Me is a perfect fit because both organisations have a vision for a more open and interoperable metaverse and for things like digital twin applications, Together, ReadyPlayer.Me and Worldbuildr can improve the user experience for a wide range of virtual experiences by combining their avatar technology and virtual environment design expertise.

“Partnering with ReadyPlayer.Me is a logical choice for us as we look to advance interoperability in all digital twin applications and the development of the eventual Metaverse,” says Michael Libby, CEO of Worldbuildr. “As digital twins become more widely adopted in industries like architecture, engineering, and construction, the ability to seamlessly integrate 3D environments, interactivity, and avatars is critical. By working together, we can bring that closer to reality.”

Last year, Libby spoke to blooloop about the capabilities of the Worldbuildr platform and how the metaverse trend will change the visitor attractions industry. With the assistance of this tool, designers can collaborate remotely from any point in the world and watch their shared attraction come to life. It’s not just useful for previsualisation either. The virtual attraction model can also become a self-contained digital guest experience or a connected digital twin for the metaverse.
