PGAV, a global leader in the planning and design of unique destinations, has announced that its vice president, Al Cross, has brought together a panel of industry experts for an event at the upcoming TEA INSPIRE 2023, organised by the Themed Entertainment Association, a non-profit representing compelling places and experiences worldwide.

TEA INSPIRE 2023 takes place on 13 and 14 April at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, and the State of the Industry panel discussion is scheduled for Thursday 13 April at 4.50 pm.

In what promises to be an open and challenging conversation, the State of the Industry panel discussion this year will examine the influences and trends that are altering the work and priorities of themed entertainment.

Cross will be joined by leaders from across the themed entertainment industry, such as Winston Fisher, CEO of AREA15; Michael Mack, CEO of Europa-Park; Dan Memis, senior vice president and CFO of Universal Creative; Evi Sari, VP of location-based entertainment at WildBrain CPLG; Darcy Troy Pollack, VP of immersive experience & content partnerships at MGM Resorts International and Jakob Wahl, president and CEO of IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry.

TEA INSPIRE offers participants an engaging networking and educational experience while celebrating the best in themed entertainment from across the world. The event attracts experts in the themed entertainment industry and delves deeply into the annual Thea award winners using an immersive case study style, with direct responses to feedback.

Cross has worked in the entertainment sector for 30 years and has overseen projects at sites such as Discovery Cove, Georgia Aquarium, and Chimelong’s Ocean Kingdom. He is currently working as a team co-leader on a significant new project in the Middle East.

The Thea Awards Gala at Disneyland Resort will follow TEA INSPIRE 2023, on Saturday 15 April.

Earlier this year, PGAV released the latest edition of its Voice of the Visitor report, an annual outlook on the attractions industry.
