Imagine Exhibitions, a leader in worldwide travelling exhibitions and entertainment, has announced that an immersive new experience is coming to the Las Vegas Strip, featuring huge, lifelike animatronic dinosaurs. Starting 10 April, visitors at the Horseshoe Las Vegas will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with both dinosaurs and prehistoric inhabitants when Dino Safari: A Walk Thru Adventure opens to the public.
This family-friendly walk-through attraction replaces the popular National Geographic’s Rarely Seen exhibition, another immersive limited engagement created by Imagine Exhibitions. It will run for a limited engagement.
“Dinosaurs are some of the most fascinating creatures to grace the earth, and for so long we’ve only been able to see them come to life in movies and on TV,” says Tom Zaller, CEO of Imagine Exhibitions.
“At Dino Safari, we’re going to transport you back in time through enormous animatronic dinosaurs, real fossils, interactive games, virtual reality, and incredible science, all in one place! It’s the perfect activity for dinosaur fans of all ages to become immersed in an entertaining and educational globetrotting dinosaur adventure.”
Entertaining and educational
The exhibition includes over 30 dinosaurs, including the T. rex of North America and the Spinosaurus from Africa. It also features some of Nevada’s local legends, like the newly discovered Nevadadromeus. Created with enjoyment in mind but also supported by top palaeontologists, Dino Safari will transport visitors back hundreds of millions of years to see these prehistoric species in recreations of their native habitats, using actual science, amazing installations, and realistic moving animatronics.
The experience, which can be found on Horseshoe Las Vegas’ lower floor, shows how dinosaurs changed over time and provides hands-on challenges for guests to complete, as well as showing representations of the natural phenomena that were prevalent at the time. It also includes interactive games for kids of all ages and interactive VR technologies.
Dino Safari: A Walk Thru Adventure was created by Imagine Exhibitions in collaboration with world-renowned dinosaur palaeontologist, Gregory M. Erickson PhD, one of just 150 full-time professional dinosaur palaeontologists in the world.
Tickets go on sale on Tuesday 4 April, with a waiting list now available here.
Earlier this year, Imagine Exhibitions celebrated the world premiere of Trolls: Save the Humans. The all-new exhibition, which features sculpture artist Thomas Dambo‘s folklore-inspired designs, is on show at Atlanta Botanical Garden until September 2023.
Imagine Exhibitions is also currently presenting Harry Potter: The Exhibition, the most comprehensive touring exhibition ever presented about the Wizarding World.
