Disneyland Paris’ new Frozen land is taking shape as part of the expansion of Walt Disney Studios Park, as seen in a new video released by Walt Disney Imagineering.
Walt Disney Studios Park, which recently celebrated its 21st anniversary, will soon be home to a wintry, Frozen-themed experience.
Elsa’s Ice Palace at Disneyland Paris will stand atop a snow-covered mountain, with the surrounding village featuring Norwegian-style architecture, as well as a shop and restaurant.
The land’s promenade will include green walkways and themed gardens, and a new restaurant with views of the lake. Additionally, visitors will get to meet their favourite Frozen characters.
Frozen experiences at Disney parks
As seen in the video, the Frozen land is coming together, with the first trees appearing near Arendelle Castle.
To recreate the atmosphere of a Norwegian fjörd, the teams are using conifers and sequoia trees. By the end of the expansion project, Imagineers will have planted more than 1,000 trees.
In February, Hong Kong Disneyland shared new drone footage of its ‘World of Frozen’ land, opening in late 2023.
The world’s first Frozen-themed land will boast two new attractions – Frozen Ever After and Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs.
The construction of the Arendelle village is almost completed, including the clock tower, Elsa’s Ice Palace, the North Mountain and Arendelle Castle.
In addition to the drone footage, Hong Kong Disneyland unveiled an enhanced audio-animatronic figure of Elsa.
Tokyo DisneySea is also bringing the Frozen films to life as part of its Fantasy Springs expansion. Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park in Florida now features a selection of new Frozen-themed attractions.
