New offerings to immerse guests in Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story films and Frozen‘s Arendelle.

Tokyo Disney Resort has announced the opening of its new Toy Story Hotel, and Disneyland Paris has started work on its upcoming Frozen-themed land.

The Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel has 595 guest rooms and immerses visitors in Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story films. The resort’s fifth Disney-themed accommodation shrinks guests to the size of a toy.

Slinky Dog Park, located in the front plaza area of the hotel, features oversized Jessie and Buzz Lightyear toys on an enormous Slinky Dog board game. Gift Planet, a retail outlet managed by Little Green Men, sells exclusive merchandise.

In the lobby, guests will enjoy a giant Bo Peep board game on the ceiling, as well as puzzle pieces decorating the floor. Guest rooms are based on Andy’s bedroom from the first Toy Story film, with Etch A Sketch TVs.

The Lotso Garden Cafe is inspired by Lotso, Toy Story 3‘s pink teddy bear. Toy Friends Square is home to oversized Hamm, Woody, Bo Peep, Billy, Goat and Gruff, and Wheezy toys.

New Disney-themed attractions

The new hotel is operated by Milial Resort Hotels Co Ltd, a subsidiary of its owner, Oriental Land Co Ltd. It offers access to the resort’s parks, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.

Elsewhere, Disneyland Paris has started building its new Frozen-inspired land. The resort has also shared new concept art of the Arendelle-themed attraction.

Guests will experience a wintery atmosphere upon arrival, with Elsa’s Ice Palace standing at the top of a snow-covered mountain. The village will feature Norwegian-style architecture, and will be home to a shop and restaurant.

The land’s promenade will be surrounded by lush landscape, green walkways and themed gardens. It will include a table-service restaurant with spectacular views of the lake. Additionally, visitors will get to meet their favourite Frozen characters.

Meanwhile, Disneyland Paris is launching its Avengers Campus expansion in summer 2022 at Walt Disney Studios Park.
