IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry, has announced a new global Hosted Buyer Program. The first program will run during this summer’s IAAPA Expo Asia 2023, which will be taking place from 13 – 16 June at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
The association will host new buyers from across the globe, enabling them to connect with exhibitors and IAAPA members during pre-arranged appointments. The exclusive Hoster Buyer Program has been created to help companies to optimise their time and budgets as they network, learn about new trends and ideas, share experiences and discover new suppliers from around the world.
Enhancing the value for exhibitors
As part of this new program, IAAPA will sponsor pre-qualified buyers to take part in the event, connecting key suppliers with new high-profile company leaders, in order to foster a targetted business environment during the show.
Hosted buyers will be expected to attend the Expo for the full program days, watch educational sessions, and make appointments with suppliers. In return, they will get a round-trip economy air ticket and up to three nights of accommodations. They will also be provided with a hosted buyer badge for access to the trade show, education sessions, opening ceremony, and leadership breakfast.
“A key benefit to being an IAAPA member is the relationships built and fostered at our various global IAAPA expo events,” says Alice Mathu, IAAPA’s vice president of partnerships and business development. “We have been looking for new ways to enhance the value for our exhibitors at IAAPA expos, this is one objective toward achieving that goal. The timing of this new offering aligns with the return of IAAPA Expo Asia, which has not taken place since 2019.”
Following this, the Hosted Buyer Program will also run at IAAPA Expo Europe 2023, which takes place in September in Vienna, Austria, and IAAPA Expo 2023 in Orlando this November. IAAPA’s three expo events are the leading trade shows for the visitor attractions industry and are attended by professionals from leading theme parks, amusement parks, zoos, aquariums, and water parks. The expo provides an opportunity for attendees to buy new services and products, connect with attractions industry experts, learn about the latest trends, and more.
IAAPA has now opened registration for IAAPA Expo Asia 2023. The trade show is already sold out for exhibitors and will include 70 booths across nearly 7,000 square meters of space.
