Bollywood Parks Dubai has announced it has closed permanently. Fortunately, Dubai Parks and Resorts will be unveiling new attractions and experiences in the near future.

The UAE’s Bollywood-themed attraction made its debut in 2016. It is part of Dubai Parks and Resorts, which also includes Motiongate Dubai and Legoland Dubai.

On 22 March, the park said it was shutting down temporarily during Ramadan. However, on Thursday (20 April), it said it will not reopen in a message on its website.

“Following its closure during the holy month of Ramadan on 22nd March 2023, Bollywood Parks Dubai will close permanently from 20th April 2023,” the theme park said.

“We thank all our guests, partners and teams who played a part in bringing the colourful world of Bollywood to Dubai, since we launched the world’s first theme park dedicated to Bollywood in 2016.

“The iconic Raj Mahal will continue to be available for private events, the reopening date will be confirmed shortly.”

However, Dubai Parks and Resorts is set to unveil “exciting details of the new attractions and experiences set to open at the Middle East’s largest theme park destination over the coming months”, it added.

Bollywood Parks Dubai was the first theme park of its kind in the world, featuring six immersive zones based on Bollywood films. It is owned by DXB Entertainments.

Dubai Holding Entertainment’s attractions include Ain Dubai, Dubai Parks and Resorts, Global Village, and the Coca-Cola Arena.

Meanwhile, Motiongate’s Lionsgate area has expanded with the addition of two new coasters based on John Wick and Now You See Me.
