Disney California Adventure at Disneyland Resort has revealed more about its upcoming San Fransokyo Square area from Disney’s 2014 film Big Hero 6.
Formerly known as Pacific Wharf, San Fransokyo Square is a fictional combination of two cities – San Francisco and Tokyo. Like Pacific Wharf, the new site will continue to serve mainly as an F&B location.
In mid-July, the district’s existing Lucky Fortune Cookery will start to introduce new menu offerings, and the Port of San Fransokyo CervecerÃa will officially open.
San Fransokyo Maker’s Market

In the weeks following, new dining options and shopping experiences will debut. When the transformation is completed, venues across the themed area will feature street art and colourful banners.
This summer at San Fransokyo Square, guests will be able to meet Hiro and Baymax outside the Hamada Bot Shop. They will also experience the San Fransokyo Maker’s Market, a storefront featuring decommissioned battle bots on display on robot storage cases.
Additionally, a vending machine will dispense collectible golden medallions featuring Baymax and other iconic images from San Fransokyo.
At Aunt Cass Café, the second bakery café operated by Hiro’s aunt, guests will enjoy soups in sourdough bread bowls. Outside, there will be a mural of Aunt Cass’ lucky pet cat, Mochi.

An old fishing net tannery opposite Aunt Cass Café is being transformed into Rita’s Turbine Blenders, a giant drinks dispenser serving margaritas and frozen beverages.
In addition to these new locations at the Disney park, there will be new menu items at Cocina Cucamonga and Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop.
In more news from Disneyland, the resort has put forward its expansion plans to Orange County business leaders.
It has also unveiled the new Pixar Place Hotel, which is replacing the existing Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel. Meanwhile, Disneyland is working with James Cameron on a new Avatar experience.
