ProSlide Technology Inc., an industry leader in water ride manufacturing and design, has again partnered with Siam Park, the world-renowned water park in Costa Adeje, Tenerife, as the pair continue to raise the bar for innovation in the water park industry with the addition of a new PIPElineBLAST called Saifa.
ProSlide has utilised the challenging topography of the park, taking a creative design approach using the park’s native rock formations. This method produces an exciting ride experience that reflects the unique shape of the terrain and melds perfectly with the park’s natural beauty. Saifa’s course offers a journey that captures the spirit of Tenerife and Siam Park by meandering through lush vegetation and precisely created canals within the natural stone.
High-capacity, energy-efficient ride
This coaster defies convention with inclines that are 100% steeper than conventional “blaster” coasters, powered by water propulsion technology. It is establishing new standards for efficiency and environmental friendliness with a 50% increase in payload capacity, a 50% drop in power consumption, and a 25% reduction in water usage thanks to an integrated control system. ProSlide’s Dueling PIPElineBLAST water coasters are also leading in terms of capacity by reaching up to 720 riders per hour.
The riders are thrown right into the action with a double drop. Visitors climb via strong uphill blasts and then diverge via the inward-facing FlyingSAUCER 30s. With this feature, guests can see glimpses of their rivals in the neighbouring lanes before the journey intensifies. Following a powerful upward blast that reunites the two vehicles, opposing EXPLOSION curves produce a spectacular divergence before converging in a face-to-face dueling booster section, launching riders towards one another at high speeds.
The big finish features a race to the pool, ending with the classic ProSlide splashdown.
This most recent water ride installation represents a milestone in the almost two-decade-old partnership between Siam Park and ProSlide. Siam Park extends an invitation to everyone around the globe to experience Saifa and enjoy the beauty and creativity that define the park.
