Betson Enterprises, the amusement equipment, parts, and service distributor, has announced that Rick Murphy has rejoined the company to support its growth in the Georgia gaming market.
Murphy joins the firm as a regional sales representative, having worked for Betson for 12 years as a sales account manager.
Rick Kirby, executive vice president at Betson Gaming, says: “We welcome Rick back to the team and are excited for him to join the efforts to help Light & Wonder gain a foothold in the Georgia market. Rick brings a wealth of industry experience that will continue to enhance the current team.”
Built on personal service
Betson Enterprises takes a comprehensive approach to optimizing VGT equipment distribution, enabling smooth supply chain management, ensuring efficient delivery, and increasing client satisfaction.
The family-owned company was founded in 1934 and is based in Carlstadt, New Jersey. The firm is the top global distributor of arcade and gaming equipment, spare parts, and servicing. Betson has offices across the US and numerous distribution centres which can support both small and large client requirements – all with Betson’s excellent personal service.
Betson shared insights last month into how vending machines can add value for FECs, particularly in view of staff shortages. The National Federation of Independent Business in the US states that 92% of small businesses are finding it difficult to employ the staff they need. This can lead to longer wait times and reduced satisfaction for visitors. Whilst vending machines don’t solve these staffing issues, they can be a simple way of offering additional options for refreshments without increasing staff requirements.
The firm has also recently opened two new game rooms in Texas, with installations at the San Antonio Aquarium and the Houston Interactive Aquarium & Animal Preserve. The games rooms will help both of these leading aquariums to utilize extra space and offer a greater breadth of family fun activities.
