Simtec Systems IAAPA Expo 23

Simtec Systems, a leader in motion simulation, celebrated the founding of its subsidiary Simtec North America, Inc. at IAAPA Expo 2023 in Orlando, Florida, this week. With Simtec North America, the company is adopting the proven concept of Simtec’s subsidiary Simtec Asia for the North American market.

In addition to a marketing and sales department, the new Orlando location is home to qualified engineers and site coordinators for installation, commissioning and maintenance. Simtec North America will allow the firm to guarantee its quality service to customers in North America in the same time zone and language.

The subsidiary was founded in 2022 and a celebration was held at the company’s booth on the trade show floor at IAAPA Expo 2023 on Thursday 16 November. Simtec Systems is a Platinum Sponsor of the event.

Announcement from the trade show floor

Simtec Systems’ director of business development, Andreas Stickel, says: “Through our local team and the close cooperation with our colleagues in Germany, we can guarantee a smooth installation process and perfect customer service.”

During IAAPA Expo, the team is showcasing its range of products on the show floor, including the HEXaFLITE flying theatre ride and its open and closed FUNRIDE motion-based simulators.

Earlier this year, the company revealed that it is working with Sarner International, a leading experiential design expert, on a new project for Mercury Towers, Malta. The new immersive visitor attraction will transport guests through Malta’s history and explore the islands in the present day.

It offers an innovative combination of entertainment and education, with an immersive dark walk experience, an interactive exhibition, and the first flying theatre ride in Malta. The experience concludes with a custom-built flying theatre designed and delivered by Simtec Systems, featuring a six-degrees-of-freedom motion platform.

Simtec Systems also recently announced the expansion of the Simtec Manufactory at its headquarters in Braunschweig, Germany.
