Triotech, an award-winning creator of media-based attractions, is celebrating the success of its interactive dark coaster, Primordial. The groundbreaking ride has taken top place in the USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards in the Best New Theme Park Attraction category.
The innovative multi-level roller coaster and interactive dark ride Primordial was developed in partnership with Utah’s Lagoon Amusement Park. This distinctive attraction, which comprises eight media-based scenes and alternate endings, has won praise from both industry professionals and coaster fans. Its creative design and unmatched experience have been recognised in its nomination for the USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
Recognising excellence
The USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards honour excellence across a range of categories. Primordial was named in the Best New Theme Park Attraction category, highlighting the dark coaster’s outstanding features and its impact on the amusement park entertainment sector.

The USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards champion excellence across a range of categories. A panel of experts proposes nominees spanning all categories, and the final selection is made by the 10Best editors. The winners are then selected by a public vote.
Triotech recently exhibited at IAAPA Expo 2023 in Orlando where it revealed a new attraction, SuperFly, which is part immersive simulator, part flying theatre. The ride offers deeper immersion and more thrills for guests, who stand on the motion platform for the experience, which is enhanced by special effects such as fragrances, leg ticklers, water and wind.
The firm also announced the inaugural installation of the new concept at NEB’s Fun World in North Oshawa, Canada, at the Expo.
