WhiteWater, a leading waterpark manufacturer, has released details of more than 60 projects set to open in 2024 including water slides, aquatic play, and surf for a range of venue types.

North & South America
In March, Aquatica Orlando in Florida transformed its beloved Super Bowls slide into Tassie’s Underwater Twist, a unique immersive experience with new coverings, visuals, and sound effects. In April, Schlitterbahn New Braunfels in Texas unveiled Schatze’s Storybrook Park, a new children’s zone featuring an AquaPlay 550 and children’s slides. The centrepiece is the world debut of Mini Blaster, the junior edition of WhiteWater’s celebrated Master Blaster water coaster.
Margaritaville at Lanier Islands will introduce four new inner tube rides this summer. The lineup features Blasterango, which combines Master Blaster and Boomerango, and is the first water coaster in Georgia. The Hattiesburg Zoo in Mississippi will introduce Serengeti Springs, a new animal-themed FusionFortress 10 with nine slides, 280 features, two tipping buckets, and a safer Life Floor surface.
Hurricane Harbor Maryland at Six Flags America will debut RipQurl Blaster, the tallest water coaster in the mid-Atlantic. The exhilarating Master Blaster features three AquaLucent hairpin turns. Meanwhile, Splash Island will open at Hurricane Harbor New Jersey at Six Flags Great Adventure. This RainFortress 5 includes seven slides and over 180 features.
Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park in Wisconsin Dells will open Rise of Icarus. The tower offers five body slides including the tallest in North America – a 145 foot Freefall. The park will also debut a brand-new children’s section with 10 water slides, AquaSplash toys, and Life Floor.
In Ontario, the first 6-person Boomerango will be unveiled at Canada’s Wonderland. Jellystone Park Niagara will soon launch an AquaPlay 1050 with Life Floor, with a pirate theme.
The largest indoor water park in Michigan, featuring inner tube slides, raft rides, and a children’s area, will open at the Bavarian Blast at the Bavarian Inn in Frankenmuth ready for the cooler fall weather.
Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana, in the Dominican Republic, has recently introduced three new body slides to its prestigious location. In Brazil, Thermas dos Laranjais, South America’s most popular water park, will debut Nações, a tower featuring two huge six-person Family Master Blaster rides. Vallarta Adventures, a luxury tour operator in Mexico, recently added a FlowRider Single on a private island.
FlowRider has been shown to be a key attraction on cruise liners. At the start of 2024, a FlowRider Wave-in-a-Box Double opened aboard Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas. A further FlowRider will feature on its sister ship, Utopia of the Seas. At Carnival, the Legend will return from dry dock with updated water attractions.
Europe
Endless Surf will premiere at O2 SURFTOWN MUC in Germany, and will create the largest waves in Europe. 34 wave-generating caissons will provide powerful and customisable surf. This will be the first lagoon of its kind on the continent and promises to transform the region’s LBE sector.
Aquapark Dalmatia by Amadria Park in Croatia is expanding its indoor and outdoor sections, attractions include two slide towers with five slides, an AquaPlay 250, a wave river, wave pool, and others.
Fårup Sommerland, Denmark’s popular amusement and water park, is expanding with a slide tower featuring the world’s first Boomerango and Tailspin Fusion with Parallel Pursuit duelling slides and a new children’s area.
France’s futuristic theme park Futuroscope, will unveil Aquascope, an immersive indoor water park experience including WhiteWater slides for children.
Middle East
Messilah Beach Club in Kuwait has added an AquaPlay 1750, AquaSpray toys, children’s slides, and a wave pool to its luxury offer.
Grand Hyatt Dubai’s new water park will include attractions such as three slide towers, AquaPlay 1050, FlowRider Triple, a wave pool, and others. This hotel, which is conveniently positioned near the airport and on the road to the Burj Khalifa, is set to become the city’s premier urban resort.
Yas Waterworld in Abu Dhabi is expanding with new attractions, including a splash pad for younger kids and accessible play areas.
WhiteWater will announce further new developments in the Middle East in the coming months.
Asia Pacific
Several significant projects will launch in the Asia Pacific.
A new water park will open soon at SnowStar in Shanghai, China, an entertainment complex with the world’s largest indoor ski hill. WhiteWater provided the water park’s architectural design in addition to all 15 indoor and outdoor attractions including a six-person Blasterango.
WhiteWater will supply all water attractions for Dream Space Water Park in Chongqing, making it the city’s largest water park. Aranya Resort in Beidaihei, China, will debut an AquaPlay 650 and splash pad, marking a first for the prestigious brand.
In Japan, two returning customers are extending their water parks. Tokyo Summerland plans to open Monster Stream, an extreme river, while Nagashima Spa Land will debut the world’s largest funnel slide, the Mega Abyss. Grand Mercure Okinawa Cape Zanpa Resort, located on Japan’s southern paradise island, will be rebranded and refurbished – to include three new water slides.
AquaForms 16, the world’s biggest modular interactive aquatic play structure will open at Waterbom Bali, Indonesia. It will boast 16 platforms, four slides, and more than 130 features to explore along its many courses.
Last year, WhiteWater celebrated the success of its unique aquatic play structure, Elevated AquaForms 12, which took first place in the Brass Ring Award for Best New Product Water Park Ride/Attraction under $2 million at the 2023 IAAPA Expo.
