Barco, the technology company focusing on innovative visualisation solutions, has announced the launch of a new two-part survey exploring museum visualisation technology. Part one is a general survey looking at the types of visualisation technology that museums are using, both for their permanent and temporary exhibits. In contrast, the second part is a more in-depth projector brand awareness and preference survey.
By completely filling out the survey, participants have a chance to win an I600, Barco’s latest single-chip projector. With its focus on premium image quality, multichannel compatibility and compact size, this single-chip projection platform is the ideal choice for a wide range of museum applications.
More than just feedback
“This survey is more than just feedback; it’s an opportunity to be at the forefront of museum innovation,” explains Lieven Bertels, segment marketing lead at Barco. “We believe that by engaging with the museum community, we can gather valuable insights and co-create a future where technology enhances and enriches the visitor experience.”

Barco also recently celebrated the launch of ARTE MUSEUM at Dubai Mall. The firm has supplied the technologies for this immersive experience, which has been created by digital media content and technology design company d’strict. d’strict and Barco signed a framework agreement in 2022 that made Barco the exclusive provider of projectors for all of d’strict’s new international digital art museum projects for the following four years.
Three-chip and single-chip DLP laser projector hardware delivery, access to Barco’s Insights Management Suite for global fleet management, and a customised, high-standard service solution that is optimised for all geographies are included in the deal, which is estimated to be worth over €15m in total. The installation in Dubai is powered by 29 UDM-4K22s and 47 G62-W9 projectors and represents a significant advancement in the expansion of ARTE MUSEUM.
