Delivering measurable results

Lars Nielsen

Nielsen has a wealth of expertise in the attractions sector. He began his career in 2005 in Tivoli’s marketing department and went on to work in the Danish attraction and tourism sector for several years. Nielsen then felt it was time to “dig deeper into the engine room” and move to the supplier side.

As a result, he joined MK Themed Attractions in 2016 and worked on extensive theming projects for well-known attractions, including LEGOLAND, Liseberg, Europa Park, and Phantasialand. In addition, he has been actively involved in the IAAPA’s EMEA committee work for several years.

While continuing this career, Nielsen founded AttractionBiz in June 2011 to provide training and consulting services to the experience industry. The firm’s projects now include sales and project management, experiences for retail centres, theming for playgrounds and amusement parks, and more.

Nielsen says: “My great passion is to make dreams and goals become a reality, while creating experiences beyond all expectations. My positions at attractions and tourism organizations have given me the opportunity to develop and redefine this passion in environments where measurable results were to be delivered within short deadlines.”

He adds that the timing is ideal for expanding AttractionBiz’s market. “Already within the first few weeks, I have received overwhelming feedback.” Recent successful projects include collaborations with the Dutch Monkey Town.

“I am passionate about experiences, play, happy memories and joy,” he concludes, “so for me, it is a pleasure to be able to contribute with just that to children and adults throughout Europe.”
