Creative Studio Berlin, the experiential design firm founded by Chris Lange, is celebrating the opening of Berlin Vibes, a new zone at Madame Tussauds Berlin, Germany.

Berlin Vibes is the centrepiece of a multi-year transformation strategy at the attraction, which is part of a gateway portfolio of Merlin Entertainments Group. Creative Studio Berlin has provided creative leadership and delivery for this reimagination.

The design firm has developed the newly opened, 150 square metre zone to honour Germany’s vibrant capital. This joins the Roaring Twenties, Babylon Berlin and Fashion Zone.

Nadja Troublefield, cluster general manager at Merlin Entertainments, says: “It was a pleasure working with you once again, Chris Lange. Your creativity never fails to impress! A huge thank you to your entire team for bringing another incredible zone to life at Madame Tussauds Berlin.

“Berlin Vibes is a vibrant, immersive experience that our guests are already loving.”

Urban culture meets Berlin beats

The new zone celebrates Berlin, highlighting its music scene and urban lifestyle to immerse guests in the culture of the subway and Tiergarten. Interactive features including the Teledisco and Berlin typical photo booth reflect art, music, pop culture and street style, while advanced technologies, like the swing installation, and recreations of locations such as the ‘Unter den Linden’ subway station, capture the distinctive Berlin spirit.

Andràs Szüts, project coordinator at Creative Studio Berlin responsible for delivering the project, says: “We worked mainly with local specialists to create the sets, props, and effects, making the process efficient. The innovative swing tech and other interactive elements took the experience to a whole new level, creating unforgettable moments.”

The project features contributions from suppliers including Crossworks Projects, Movie Construction, Rotes Pferd, Frank Fietzek, TM Ausbau GmbH and Treelocate, all longtime Creative Studio Berlin collaborators.

The Berlin Vibes zone combines the city’s underground energy with interactive experiences and international celebrities, with seven wax figures on display.

Highlights include the opportunity to take a selfie with “Goldelse” (Golden Lizzy), and a wax figure of rap superstar Kontra K, which he personally unveiled, symbolising the city’s vibrancy and spirit. Visitors will also see Kim Petras and Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran playing in the subway, Karl Marx deep in thought, RuPaul, and Elyas M’Barek.

Creative Studio Berlin recently celebrated the launch of Crocodile Island at the Park of Poland’s Suntago Water Park, which marked the company’s first opening of 2025.
