The series has been running since March in response to the challenges presented by the Covid-19 pandemic. It has since been watched by thousands of attractions industry professionals.
Webinar Wednesdays, which began as a weekly series and is now running bi-weekly, has been widely praised throughout the industry, presenting useful insights and advice for operators as they navigate the new normal.
It is hosted by Randy Josselyn and Matthew Hoenstine, who featured in the Power 10 on this year’s blooloop 50 Theme Park Influencer List.
A rewarding journey
“It’s been a challenging but rewarding journey,” says Josselyn. “When we started these webinars, we never imagined what they would grow to become. But having the opportunity to speak to hundreds of industry professionals every week about how to make it through this crisis has been a real silver lining.”
Hoenstine adds: “We’re planning to wrap up Webinar Wednesdays for 2020 on November 18, but we’re not going away. We’ll take the time over the holiday season to regroup on the trends we’re seeing in the industry, brainstorm the most relevant upcoming topics, reach out to more potential panellists, and make sure the series is ready to thrive in 2021.”
During the next episode, entitled: 2020 – Then, Now and Hope for the Future, the hosts will be joined by a panel of past presenters, as they explore some of the key lessons learned during the crisis, as well as assessing the current state of the industry and looking forward to a positive 2021. The webinar begins directly after IAAPA’s Virtual Education Conference, which Gateway is sponsoring.
