Valo Motion, a pioneer in combining interactive technology with physical activities, has supplied and installed the 100th ValoArena at Andretti Indoor Karting and Games’ venue in Katy, Texas.
The landmark ValoArena purchase was made on the show floor at IAAPA Expo 2024 in Orlando. Andretti’s managing partner, Eddie Hamann, secured the attraction for the US brand’s Katy location, near Houston, Texas.
Dr. Raine Kajastila, CEO and founder of Valo Motion, says: “Valo Motion is excited about this milestone, because it indicates that we have been able to develop a product that operators feel confident in, because they are adding ValoArena to their entertainment offerings.
“We are thrilled that ValoArena is performing so well and that it fits into a range of locations and business models.”
Designed for the NA market
Valo Motion developed a new ValoArena with Creative Works, its manufacturing and distribution partner for the North American market. This was unveiled at IAAPA Expo 2024.
Armando Lanuti, president of Creative Works, says: “ValoArena has proven to be a workhorse when it comes to throughput and attraction in a venue.
“The ability to easily see the players smiling and hear them laughing is infectious, immediately drawing attention. The ease of use for the guest to intuitively step in and play makes it great for all ages, and we have seen great play numbers from both adult and family-centric venues!”
“The average ValoArena performance numbers are great, and some top pay-per-play locations are charging up to $6 per game and seeing ROI in as few as 6 to 9 months,” says Sven Rösch, head of sales at Valo Motion. “In gated admission locations, some top performers are experiencing weekend utilization of over 95%.”
International demand
Of the 100 ValoArenas purchased across the world, Germany boasts the most with 27 installations.
In America, there is an active demand pipeline. The country is home to 23 ValoArenas in addition to the 100th unit at Andretti’s. These can be found at popular FECs such as AR’s Entertainment Hub, Five Star Parks, and RPM Raceway, as well as active indoor entertainment brands like Big Air and Elevate Trampoline Parks.
Furthermore, there are numerous ValoArena locations in the Middle East, several in Asia, and installations in Latin America and Africa.
ValoArena launched for the amusement market in 2022, and later that year was installed at the first US locations, Air Madness trampoline park in South Dakota and RPM Raceway in New Jersey. At IAAPA Expo 2022, the attraction was honoured with a Brass Ring Award in the Best New Product – Virtual and Augmented Reality category.
Another notable success for ValoArena is its viral game title, Groundfall. Inspired by the classic children’s game ‘The Floor is Lava’, this game has amassed more than 100 million views on TikTok and over 28 million views across Reddit and Instagram in 2025.
Recently, Valo Motion celebrated the launch of Total Ninja Interactive Dubai, an indoor entertainment venue featuring high-energy challenges, physical action, and interactivity with a range of 12 mixed-reality attractions from Valo Motion at its centre.
