Fully integrated global infrastructure firm, AECOM, has won a major contract to provide comprehensive, integrated program management services to China’s Elite Global Group Limited.
Elite Global Group (EGGL) is looking to push ahead with the development of its USD 1.85 billion, 250-acre Nickelodeon-themed project. The Group is the authorised partner of Viacom in China.
The Nickelodeon attraction is set to be a central feature of the 750-acre Foshan Cultural and Ecological Coastal Park in southern China. The park, which broke ground in January, is a master-planned environment encompassing cultural, tourism, sports, and science and technology components. It is expected to open in 2020-21.
AECOM will provide its industry-leading, large capital project program management services to EGGL.
A breakthrough moment for AECOM in China
Chris Yoshii, Vice President, Asia Pacific, AECOM, described the contract as a breakthrough moment for the company’s management consultancy business in China:
“This is the first, large-scale agreement for AECOM to deliver its proprietary life-cycle of integrated program management services,” he said.
Foshan is a city of more than seven million people, part of the affluent, greater Pearl River Delta mega metropolitan region. The Pearl River Delta includes the thriving cities of Shenzhen and Guangzhou and is home to over 22 million people. It is also within reach of residents in the Hong Kong and Macau Special Administrative Regions.
