Gateway Ticketing Sytems’ Galaxy™ Product Suite Selected for the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park


Gateway Ticketing Systems, Inc., the world leader in admission control and ticketing software for the attraction and amusement industries, has supplied the Galaxy® product suite to the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park.

The Royal Gorge Bridge and Park is one of Colorado’s premier attractions, re-opening this summer after being devastated last year by a fire which destroyed 48 of its 52 buildings, but leaving the bridge itself unscathed.

The reopening showcases a new visitor centre and attractions which include the internationally renowned Sky Coaster thrill ride; the world’s longest single-span aerial gondolas and a gorge-spanning zip-line.

A significant increase to the Park’s current annual 300, 000 + visitor numbers is expected, and selecting the right point-of-sale system has therefore been crucial.

Jeri Neiens, Director of Administrative Services at the Park explains, “We needed a system with robust web store, reseller and resource management functionality along with the ability to accommodate not only our guests, but our trade partners. Galaxy was the only point of sale system that could provide all of the stated criteria/priorities.”

Gateway’s flagship Galaxy product suite for ticketing, retail, food and beverage and access control has the capacity to expand along with the growth of a business, something that was pivotal in the Royal Gorge Park’s decision to select it above any other system.

Neiens adds, “We knew that later our business plan would include an amphitheatre and we would want a system that provided the ability to do reserve seating and this was a product that Gateway was working on and we were confident this product would exceed our needs.”

As the implementation process advances, the Park is secure in the knowledge the right decision has been made. Neiens describes the Gateway staff as knowledgeable and helpful, adding: “…I am convinced we made the right choice! I look forward to working with Gateway for many years to come.”
