Ticketing and payment provider Semnox Solutions has been recertified with the Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS).

Semnox LogoThis global security standard, awarded by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council, aims to provide a definitive data standard for software vendors who develop payment applications.

The certification is in keeping with Semnox’s efforts to safeguard sensitive client information at all phases of product development and support.

PA-DSS aims to prevent developed payment applications for third parties from storing prohibited secure data including magnetic stripe, CVV2 and PIN. The standard also mandates that software vendors develop payment applications that are compliant with PCI-DSS standards.

Semnox Solutions provides technology and creative solutions for the entertainment and amusement industry. Its Parafait suite of products is operational at over 1,400 sites in over 40 countries.

The Indian company was originally granted PCI-DSS certification in 2015. It earned this by restricting and limiting the number of personnel with access to sensitive data; providing multiple layers of defence and a secure data protection model. In addition, Semnox implements strong access control measures by regularly testing security systems and processes.
