Christie has launched a pair of new 3LCD laser projectors. Delivering up to 6,500 ISO lumens, the APS Series is among the brightest in the industry for this kind of projector.

Both the Christie LWU650-APS and Christie LWU530-APS come complete with a 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio. The projectors are designed for classrooms, boardrooms and other small-space environments.

Featuring an efficient laser illumination system and patented optical light path design that uses only one motor, the omnidirectional APS Series provides up to 20,000 hours of reliable, maintenance-free operation for an extremely low cost of ownership. The products also come with a 5-year/10,000-hour warranty.

Quality and affordability

“Low-cost projectors don’t need to sacrifice quality,” says Christie senior product manager, Jim Hall. “The APS Series is a robust platform that stands-up to the demands of professional applications. The patented optical light pass design changes the excitation light spot shape from a round spot to a rectangular shape and disperses the energy on the phosphor wheel.”

The APS Series provides razor-sharp image quality whether it’s for presentation, dataset or video. Each projector boasts flexible input/output options, an on-board 16W speaker and whisper-quiet operation. Furthermore, the sealed illumination system reduces the impact of dust and smoke on the projector’s performance since the LCD block section uses filtered air that is separate from the illumination system.

Christie markets some of the world’s most advanced projectors and complete system displays, capturing the attention of audiences around the world with dynamic and stunning images. The Christie LWU650-APS is now shipping and the Christie LWU530-APS is due to ship in mid-January.
