Guests can capture the moment with a unique NFT experience

Showtime Pictures, a leading operator of photography concessions at major tourist attractions, has announced a new product that follows a series of service announcements from top social media companies including Meta, leading the way for digital products.

Showtime has enhanced the capture process and entirely transformed the redemption process for photography customers, and is now looking to upgrade products further for end consumers.

The firm recently debuted its automated Metaverse avatar maker earlier this year and is continuing developments in trending social media technologies with the introduction of NFTs.

An NFT, or Non-Fungible Token, is a unique form of digital data stored and recorded in a blockchain, allowing them to be traded and sold by owners. A number of museums around the world including The British Museum, ICA Miami, and The Museum of the Future in Dubai have announced NFT projects this year.

In what Showtime Pictures calls a world’s first for the photography concession industry, guests can now purchase pictures and videos as NFTs and display them on the OpenSea metaverse platform.

With its digital nature, the product is instantly delivered, with the company’s state-of-the-art technology allowing customers to digitally memorialise the emotions of the moment with the push of a button.

NFTs are a tangible value of recent Web3 and metaverse innovation, and created NFTs are inspectable by interested parties regardless of their platform with a compatible web3 wallet.

A company representative says: “We are not talking about future projects, we are not talking about theories – it’s real, ready and in operation.

“We have changed how we capture and adjusted how we deliver, now we are changing what the products should be. In order to answer the main question of why our customers should buy our products, we have listened to them and are now creating more video and digitally-based content.”

Showtime Pictures has also recently announced a new collaboration with Photobricks, resulting in BrickArt Studios, a new entertaining guest experience and revenue generator for destination operators.
