Ticket Tailor, a leading white-labelled, self-serve ticketing platform, is continuing to set its sights on the tours and attractions ticketing market, as it aims for another record-breaking year.
In recent years event creators have flocked to the platform in search of lower fees, better customer support and an independent brand that is more aligned to that of the events world. The company is also purpose-led with green credentials including being a Certified B Corporation and donating to climate causes with every ticket sold.
Since 2019, compared to Eventbrite, Ticket Tailor’s share of ticket sales has grown from 3% of paid tickets sold to over 11% in 2022, with nearly 10m tickets sold on the platform last year. Operating internationally, 80% of Ticket Tailor’s ticket sales are evenly split across the UK and North America, and the remaining 20% were sold across a further 80 countries.
International expansion driven by the mid-sized attractions market
In recent years, Ticket Tailor has seen notable growth in the tours and attractions sector of its business and now counts some of Europe’s and North America’s largest attractions as its clients. From water parks in Canada to national museums in the UK and world-renowned art galleries – Ticket Tailor offers simple, low cost and no-fuss ticketing solutions.
Commercial director George Follett says: “During the pandemic, we saw substantial organic growth in attractions using our platform. We quickly realised that though, they loved lots about Ticket Tailor, they had slightly different feature requirements and needs compared to our existing users.
“We saw huge potential in this sector and it was clear from the new clients that we were speaking to, that they were desperate for a product like ours.
“Since then, we’ve set about making Ticket Tailor an ideal platform for attractions. Whether it’s our time slot management, easy order admin features or memberships – tours and attractions can get a powerful ticketing solution at a fraction of the cost of most competitors.”
Satisfied and stress-free customers
One of Ticket Tailor’s converts is Cultus Lake Water and Theme Parks, found on the outskirts of Vancouver, Canada. They initially turned to the platform when the pandemic hit, as a way to manage capacity and time slots as event restrictions were beginning to lift.
Andrew Steunenberg from the venue says: “Ticket Tailor has been an exceptionally user-friendly and flexible platform for creating events. With the use of Ticket Tailor, thousands of guests arrive daily at our Parks, and admission is simple and stress-free.
“Their approach has been to develop and improve the platform, and continually ask us what can be done in order for their product to meet our needs. Two thumbs up for our Ticket Tailor partnership!”
This year Ticket Tailor plans to double down on its investment in features and functionality for the attractions market, with no contracts, setup fees or monthly costs.
