Meow Wolf has plans to create a connected experience ecosystem.

Meow Wolf has appointed three “innovative humanoids” to its world-class leadership team – Michael Kopelman, Anne Mullen and Kelly Schoeffel.

Kopelman joins Meow Wolf as its chief financial officer, Mullen as the company’s chief creative strategy officer, and Schoeffel as chief marketing officer.

“Meow Wolf has provided transformative art experiences to millions of humans from around the world,” said Meow Wolf CEO Jose Tolosa.

He added: “Recognizing the impact our exhibitions have had, my first priority was to build a leadership team with the vision to expand into some of the infinite possibilities the Meow Wolf universe offers, including beyond our physical locations.”

Kopelman has held senior finance and strategy leadership roles in industries including the media, real estate, financial services and healthcare. He most recently served as the chief financial officer of Maven Clinic.

Schoeffel, Meow Wolf’s first chief marketing officer, will expand the company’s marketing efforts. She has 20 years’ experience working at the world’s most innovative creative agencies.

Before joining Meow Wolf, Mullen worked for Nickelodeon for 15 years. In her new role, she will lead a new division to transform Meow Wolf into a next-generation immersive experience company.

This division will focus on the creation of a connected Meow Wolf experience ecosystem of LBE experiences, digital content and merchandise.

Creating a connected Meow Wolf ecosystem

Meow Wolf’s first location, the House of Eternal Return, opened in Santa Fe in 2016. Its second permanent installation, Omega Mart, opened at AREA15 in Las Vegas in 2021.

These were followed by the launch of the third permanent venue, Convergence Station, in Denver. Meow Wolf’s latest exhibitions are opening in Grapevine, Texas in summer 2023 and in Houston, Texas in 2024.

The former, described as a “place of beauty and discovery”, is located at the Grapevine Mills shopping mall in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.
