Fantawild Holdings Inc., a leading one-stop solution provider in the theme park industry, has participated in talks with the Center for Environmental Education and Communications of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (CEEC), after its beloved Boonie Bear characters, Briar and Bramble, were named Eco Ambassadors.
The characters were appointed in an official ceremony on 16 September, which was attended by Zhang Huaping, party secretary and director of CEEC, and Chen Zuyao, vice president of Fantawild.
The two organisations held detailed discussions on innovative outreach formats for ecological and environmental education, and on enhancing the integration of eco-environmental protection and animated IP.
Diverse green communication mix
Boonie Bears, a well-known animated IP under Fantawild, has been entertaining audiences for over 10 years.
Its tales, spanning family, friendship, following your dreams, growth, and protecting your home, embody the brand philosophy of 'nature, environmental protection, health, and happiness'. In this, Boonie Bears promotes positive, uplifting values that align closely with environmental protection.
Briar and Bramble are attending COP17: Convention on Biological Diversity 2026, where they are sharing stories of China’s ecological and environmental protection through vivid animated storytelling. The event is taking place in Yerevan, Armenia, until 30 October.
Fantawild and the CEEC’s discussions have included environmental-themed VR experiences and animated short films, the creation of biodiversity promotional materials, and promotion for touring exhibitions.
Additionally, the parties have considered ways to leverage the CEEC’s platform to enhance immersive cultural spaces and explore new outreach channels around the 'eco-environmental protection meets animated IP' model.
Fantawild continues to strengthen social contributions from its brands and support public-interest outreach, seeking to 'Tell China’s Green Eco-Stories Well' as part of the broader 'Telling China’s Stories Well' campaign.
In June, the company partnered with the National Government Offices Administration to reveal Guarding Tomorrow, a promotional video on energy-saving and carbon reduction in public institutions.
Reaching hundreds of millions of people, the video has since been shown in major public institutions across the country, as well as on public transportation.
From planes and trains to the international stage, Fantawild is building a green communication mix that includes diverse content and audience groups, with Boonie Bears as ambassadors.
Looking forward, the company will remain dedicated to using animation as a bridge between research and public understanding, and will continue to help create a shared future for all.
This summer, Fantawild expanded its family-friendly resort offering with the opening of Xiaogan Fantawild Resort in Hubei Province, China.
