Play Culture, a leading developer of experiential leisure destinations, officially launched Nickelodeon Playtime 2.0 on 1 October 2026, during China's National Day Golden Week.
Spanning levels 1 and 2 of OCT Harbour Shopping Centre in Shenzhen, the entirely reimagined flagship venue represents the most significant expansion in the brand's six-year history.

One-stop family destination
Following its launch at Shenzhen OCT Harbour in December 2020, Nickelodeon Playtime has established a loyal fan base through unique branded experiences and premium interactive attractions.
Six years on, the venue is marking a new era with Nickelodeon Playtime 2.0. Extending across more than 2,000 square metres across two prime levels of the shopping centre, the new venue offers a major upgrade in both scale and visitor experience.
Immersive play, branded retail and Nickelodeon-themed dining come together in an integrated concept featuring five internationally recognised entertainment franchises: SpongeBob SquarePants, PAW Patrol, Dora the Explorer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Garfield.

The one-stop family entertainment destination includes themed photo opportunities and exclusive merchandise, as well as four distinctive play areas designed for different ages and interests.
The Digital Interactive Zone features responsive character technology, and the Role-Play Zone recreates well-loved shows with themed sets.
The Active Adventure Zone includes climbing structures and obstacle challenges for older children, while the Soft Play Zone caters to younger children with padded structures and a ball pit.
The themed worlds, each anchored by a franchise, include PAW Patrol's Adventure Bay, SpongeBob's Bikini Bottom, a rainforest journey with Dora, an obstacle challenge with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Garfield's comic-inspired photo moments.
Additionally, live entertainment gives families the chance to connect, create, and make memories together through character meet-and-greets and expanded parent-child workshops.

The theming continues through to the attraction's newly upgraded, comic-inspired family restaurant. Here, traditional comic-book aesthetics meet modern design, with vivid pop-art colours, speech bubbles and hand-drawn graphics.
A Nickelodeon Playtime 2.0 menu, created by professional chefs using high-quality, traceable ingredients, complements the interior. Visitors can enjoy nutritious, fun mains, snacks, and desserts inspired by their favourite characters.
Recently, Play Culture shared details of a licensing agreement with Paramount to develop and run Nickelodeon-themed play centres across Indonesia.
