The Walt Disney Company is preparing for another round of layoffs, with thousands of workers expected to be impacted.
The entertainment giant's latest job cuts were first reported by Bloomberg, which cited anonymous sources. They will be made across multiple divisions.
Some managers of the affected segments have been asked to cut expenses by up to 20 percent on an annualised basis.
Disney declined to comment on the latest cuts, which would be the fourth round of layoffs under new CEO Josh D'Amaro.

According to the Bloomberg report, D'Amaro plans to reinvest the savings into film and TV, technology, and the theme parks and cruise business.
Disney is also laying off between 100 and 200 workers across its theme parks division as the entertainment giant continues a restructuring programme.
These cuts are limited to Disney Experiences and are part of an evaluation of the segment's priorities, investments and project timelines.
Before that, Disney eliminated nearly 300 workers, primarily in the human resources and technology divisions, and separately offered early retirement packages to older employees.
Restructuring at Disney
In April, D'Amaro announced the elimination of around 1,000 positions at Disney as the company worked to "streamline our operations".
At Bloomberg News' Screentime media conference in Hollywood in October, Disney's president Dana Walden said: "There is a need to constantly evaluate how you’re structured.
"It is extremely painful. We’ve exited colleagues who I’ve worked with for most of my career and it is, in many ways, a harsh reality."
Addressing Disney's voluntary retirement programme, Walden said it was designed to give "long-tenured executives agency and the opportunity to make their own decisions around whether the timing was right to leave".
“This evolution, it will never stop,” Walden added. “Technology set their sights on our business, and we must survive, and thrive and grow. And that’s what we’re going to do."
