Redemption Plus, a trusted prize supplier for family entertainment centres, arcades, bowling alleys, and cinema entertainment centres across North America, has named Derek Lovato as its new vice president of sales and business development.

Lovato has been serving in the amusement, attractions, entertainment, and hospitality sectors for almost 30 years. His experience includes key leadership roles at leading attractions and amusement companies, such as Six Flags, PARC Management, Herschend Family Entertainment, and Rhode Island Novelty.

Michael Nowak, CEO of Redemption Plus, says: "Derek brings a rare combination of industry knowledge, leadership, and relationships built over nearly three decades. He understands this business from the ground up, and what stands out is his ability to connect people, recognize opportunities, and turn ideas into results.

"His experience and perspective will be instrumental as we continue to expand our reach and strengthen our position in the industry."

Lovato joins Redemption Plus in November 2026 and will be based in Massachusetts.

Three decades of expertise

Lovato's broad expertise ranges from executive management and multi-property operations to sales strategy, strategic purchasing, and business development.

He also brings rich knowledge in leading sales and product development projects with internationally renowned brands, including Nickelodeon, SEGA, and MTV, as well as managing intricate business integrations and brand transitions in the amusement merchandise sector.

At PARC Management, he led a strategic purchasing initiative across 13 CNL properties, leveraging collective buying power to bolster vendor relationships and enhance operational efficiency.

Lovato most recently held an executive leadership role with ICON Experiences at National Harbor, where he contributed to 32% growth in group sales, 200% growth in special event revenue, and a 65% increase in per-capita spending over four years.

As an IAAPA Brass Ring Award winner and six-time IAAPA presenter, Lovato continues to be actively involved in sector leadership and serves on numerous boards and committees, including NEAAPA, the Stuffed Toy Manufacturers Association, and the National Harbor Convention & Visitors Association.

"Having spent time with Michael on the road and at industry trade shows, I've seen firsthand the passion and vision behind Redemption Plus," says Lovato.

"Success isn't just about where you've been. It's about having the courage to see where you can go. I'm excited to join this talented team and help turn that vision into our next chapter of growth."

Later this month, Redemption Plus will announce its Custom Plush Battle Royale champion at IAAPA Expo 2026 in Orlando.

This contest draws on the creative insight of game room operators, amusement professionals, and industry insiders across the US to find the next breakout redemption prize.
