Leading creator of interactive attractions, Alterface, is set to unveil a brand new ride concept at AAE Singapore, Booth #B934.
The company’s Rotating Theatre has been reimagined as a crazy confection – the Spinning Interactive Dark Ride – Popcorn Revenge®.
Alterface first developed its Rotating Theatre in 2007 as a way to fit a full-on interactive and themed experience onto a limited footprint.
As the platform rotates, it moves each group of 8 players through an immersive series of scenes. The turn-key attraction features themed scenery, large integrated screens, custom media, projection mapping, sounds, dynamic lighting and special effects. These are all managed by Alterface Show control FX studio™. The system is compatible with all types of interactivity: shooting, drag and drop, 4D shooter™ and gesture recognition.
At AAE, Alterface will launch the next-gen version which sees everyone’s favourite cinema snack determined to wreak revenge on all those people who keep eating it.
It’s up to the players to stop the pesky popcorn destroying the theatre. Armed with futuristic caramel dispensers, guests douse the evil edibles with coloured candy.
Alterface’s Proven 4D Shooter Technology
“This dispenser as ‘pointing device’ perfectly demonstrates how we combine creativity and technology,” says Laurence Beckers, Special Projects and Technology Scout at Alterface. “Based on our proven 4D Shooter Technology, players see their projectile being thrown from the gun into the video game.”
For the design and theming of Popcorn Revenge®, Alterface partnered with designer and scenic fabricator, Jora Vision.
“Developing a totally new and proprietary IP opens new and exciting perspectives,” adds Alterface CEO and Founder, Benoit Cornet.
“We always want to offer our clients something unique so they can provide top-notch entertainment to the visitors. With the new Spinning Interactive Dark Ride concept we give another dimension to interactive attractions.”
Transquadra Race
Cornet will be interacting with the ocean when he partners Marc Willame as part of the Belgian Propaganda 2! yachting team for the Transquadra race from Lorient to Le Marin in 2017-2018. The race is only open to single or double-handed crews made up of amateurs above the age of 40. Alterface and Mikol are team sponsors.
